This Privacy Policy explains how Collatz Inc. ("we," "us," or "Company") collects, uses, and protects information when you use ZYSH, our note-taking and to-do application ("App").
By using ZYSH, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state/country, whichever is higher) and agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Local Data
Your notes, tasks, attachments, and other content are stored locally on your device and remain entirely under your control. This data is not transmitted to our servers.
1.2 Cloud Sync Data
If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored on your chosen third-party service (iCloud, Google Drive, etc.). We act solely as a facilitator. Your cloud provider's terms and privacy policies govern synced data—we do not access, store, or manage it.
1.3 Diagnostic and Usage Data
We may collect limited technical information including:
- App version and device type
- Operating system version
- Crash logs and error reports
- Anonymized performance metrics (app launch times, feature usage frequency)
We never collect or analyze the content of your notes or tasks.
1.4 Optional Data
Features like reminders, notifications, or location tags use data only for their specific function and remain on your device unless synced through your cloud account.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected data solely to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the App
- Fix crashes, bugs, or compatibility issues
- Communicate essential updates
We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your information, nor scan your content for analytics, advertising, or profiling.
3. Third-Party Services
When you use cloud services, their privacy policies govern your synced data. Diagnostic data may be processed using industry-standard tools that comply with Indian data protection standards. We recommend reviewing your cloud provider's policies.
4. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures including encryption during transmission and secure storage of diagnostic information. However, no system is completely secure. The App is provided "as-is," and you accept the inherent risks of digital data storage.
Advisory: Do not store highly sensitive data (passwords, medical records, financial details, confidential business information) within the App.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Retention:
- Your notes and tasks remain on your device until you delete them
- Cloud-synced data follows your provider's retention policy
- Diagnostic data is anonymized and retained for 90-180 days
Deletion:
You can delete data by:
- Removing items within the App
- Deleting synced data from your cloud service
- Disabling diagnostic collection in Settings > Privacy
- Uninstalling ZYSH
We do not maintain backups of your content and cannot restore deleted data.
6. Children's Privacy
ZYSH is not intended for anyone under 18 years (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used ZYSH, contact us at feedback@collatzinc.com. We will delete such data within 7 business days.
7. Data Storage and Transfers
All data processing is governed by Indian law. Minimal technical data may be processed on servers within India or by third-party providers complying with Indian data protection standards and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
8. Your Rights Under Indian Law
Under the DPDP Act 2023, you have rights to:
- Access information about your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your data
- Lodge complaints regarding data processing
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights

9. No Monetary Claims - Free Service Disclaimer
ZYSH is provided entirely free of charge. By using ZYSH, you acknowledge and agree that:
9.1 Service Basis
- The App is provided "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" without warranties
- You use the App entirely at your own risk
- We make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or data integrity
9.2 Waiver of Claims
To the fullest extent permitted under Indian law, you waive all rights to:
- Seek monetary compensation or damages of any kind
- Claim refunds (no payment made)
- Pursue claims for data loss, lost profits, business loss, or indirect/consequential losses
9.3 No Liability
We are not liable for:
- Loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of your data (local or cloud)
- Service interruption, suspension, or termination
- Issues arising from third-party services
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control
Exceptions: Limitations do not apply to liability for willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death/personal injury caused by our negligence, as prohibited by Indian law.
9.4 Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
- Maintaining backups of important data
- Securing your device and accounts
- Choosing appropriate cloud storage providers
- Understanding the limitations of free software
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Collatz Inc., its directors, officers, and employees from all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of this policy or applicable laws
- Content you store or transmit
- Claims that your use caused damage to third parties
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology or legal requirements. The latest version is available in the App (Settings > Privacy Policy) and at Privacy Policy page.
Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Applicable Law: This policy is governed by the laws of India, including:
- Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023
- Information Technology Act, 2000
- Indian Contract Act, 1872
Exclusive Jurisdiction: All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
Dispute Resolution: Before litigation, you agree to:
- Contact our Grievance Officer in writing
- Allow 30 days for resolution
- Attempt good faith negotiations
13. Grievance Redressal
Per DPDP Act 2023 and IT Act 2000, our Grievance Officer handles privacy concerns:

15. General Provisions

Language: English version prevails in case of translation conflicts.

- You agree to all terms and conditions
- You specifically accept the limitations on liability and waiver of monetary claims
- You understand ZYSH is a free service without warranties
- You are responsible for maintaining data backups
- You consent to exclusive jurisdiction in India
